Staging – Open Plan Condo – Courtenay, BC
Staging an Open Floor Plan as a Multi-Use Space
A client was looking for Staging services for their vacant condo. The condo has an open plan. The main living area is a very large, open space with the kitchen at one end.
The condo feels quite stark and empty. Voices and footsteps echo in the space. Buyers have a difficult time determining how they would use such a large and open room.
The set up needs to be functional. Anyone living here will have to make this a multi-use space. The room needs to be set up so buyers can see how they could set up their furniture.
The fireplace is in the corner. This is often a challenge when staging and for buyers when setting up their furniture. The wall spaces are quite long, and the staging plan will need to visually break up the look of the length of those walls.
The large, open room has been staged using zones to visually separate individual spaces of use in the condo. A living room zone, home office zone, and dining zone have been set up to break up the space. Artwork and vases with decorative sticks have been used to visually separate the areas.
The condo has been staged with contemporary and transitional design items. Taupe, gold, dark brown, and cream has been used throughout the condo. A mix of wood, metal, wicker, and upholstery has been used to create texture and pattern.
Buyers can see how they can set up their furniture to make this condo work for them. The condo sold in just over 35 days.
